We ship Monday-Friday, and guarantee same-day dispatch if you place your order before 1pm Pacific / 4pm Eastern. All orders placed between 1pm Pacific Friday and 1pm Pacific Monday will ship on the Monday - this includes any expedited shipping options you might choose.

TRANSIT TIMES: See map below - all transit times refer to business days (Mon-Fri); so for example, an order placed noon Tuesday will arrive in San Francisco by end-of-day Thursday, and NYC by end-of-day the following Tuesday.

Return Policy

To make a return request (if you're in the U.S.), visit this page.

If you’re in the U.S., you’ve got a 90-day change-of-mind return window on all orders. If you receive your Minaal gear and decide it isn’t right for you, you can return it as-new for a full refund (including the original shipping cost). As a small business, we ask for a $15 contribution to help cover the cost of return shipping and restocking.

When we receive your return and confirm that the gear is in as-new condition, we’ll process your refund, minus the $15 restocking contribution.

(Change-of-mind returns outside the U.S. aren’t currently available – sorry! The cost of shipping gear back to our international hub is too high to make it workable for either side.)

Pre-Order Returns/Exchanges

Every so often, when we introduce new products, we open them up for pre-orders before they’re in stock. If you pre-order Minaal gear, you can change your mind at any time before it shipsand receive a full refund. If the order’s already shipped, then the change-of-mind details outlined above will apply (including this type of return not being possible for international orders).

For U.S. users: if you receive a pre-order shipment and decide you’d like to exchange it for other gear, you’ll need to do so within 90 days of receipt and make up the price difference. If you receive in-stock gear and decide you’d like to trade it for pre-order gear, you can return your in-stock gear for a refund (as long as it’s in as-new condition), then make a new order for the pre-order gear.

Warranty Policy

We offer a lifetime guarantee against all manufacturing defects. If your gear has a defect, we’ll send you a replacement or organise a repair – anywhere in the world.

This second paragraph is where some companies might list their endless conditions, exclusions, and sub-clauses to their reckless first sentence. But we’re big believers in common sense – a defect is a defect – and we won’t use legal jargon as a rock to hide under when you come knocking. Problems with our gear are incredibly rare, but we know how good it feels to have a solid warranty backing you up when you’re on the road. If any of our gear falls short of our high quality-control standards, we’ll make it right.

Ultimately, any gear that takes a severe beating over a long period of time will eventually show signs of wear and tear. This isn’t considered a defect – but drop us a line if you’re in doubt, and we’ll be straight with you either way.

Daily Bag - Care Instructions

First, it’s best to clean the bag by hand, and dry it by air. (In an ironic twist, machine washing the bag damages its water resistance).

Fluff and light dirt can generally be brushed off if the bag is completely dry. If the dirt is too deep to be brushed, then you can remove it by following these instructions for cleaning Nylon fabric:

  • Pretreat any stains by spraying a laundry-stain remover or dry-cleaning solvent on the stain. Allow it to soak into the fabric for at least an hour.
  • Combine 8 oz. of warm water with 1 tbsp. of ableach-free and chlorine-free laundry detergent in a spray bottle. Swirl the bottle to mix.
  • Spray the cleaning solution onto the bag. Use a soft- to medium-bristled cleaning brush to work the cleaning solution into the fabric.
  • Dampen a soft cloth with cool water. Squeeze to remove excess moisture.
  • Wipe down the item to remove soap residue.
  • Air dry the bag.

How much can I fit in your bags?

Capacity is a tricky thing to measure, because it depends on so much more than volume (you can read our rant on that topic here). What we can do is tell you the exact dimensions of our gear, and show you a few videos of what other people have managed to fit inside their bags.

The dimensions of the Minaal 2.0 are 55 x 35 x 20cm (21.7 x 13.8 x 7.9in). The dimensions of the Daily are 43 x 32 x 16cm (16.9 x 12.6 x 6.3in). But to give you a better idea of what you’ll be able to fit, you can check out our official how-to videos for the Carry-on 2.0 and Daily, or have a look at these Carry-on 2.0 and Daily Youtube playlists (which include packing videos).

Why aren't accessories included with the bag?

Hip belts, shirt protectors and the like are absolute essentials for some travellers, but they’re not for everyone. We’re all about giving you the choice. Personally, we think it’s better to make 25 hip belts for the 25 people who really want those hip belts, than to make 100 and add that extra production cost to everyone’s purchases.

How do you come up with your prices?

The device compartments of the Minaal 2.0 and Daily each contain a neoprene DeviceNest™ sleeve, which can fit a 15” Macbook Pro or smaller.

Larger laptops are likely to fit inside the broader device compartment (especially in the Carry-on 2.0), but they may need their own sleeve for extra protection. If you have any doubts, feel free to drop us a line here!

How can I get my bag serviced?

We build Minaal gear for the long-haul, but because it's made by humans for humans, sometimes we see defects in production.
