Incredibly light and useful bag

fantastic backpack, I searched multiple companies, watched *hours* of youtube videos trying to find a backpack that was very light, very compact and minimal, I wanted to bring just a few items around (ipad, laptop, headphones and a few other things) and many times my previous backpack either weighted more than the stuff inside or there were too many pouches.

With this backpack I finally found my equilibrium and I strongly advise this to anyone who needs a daily carry to go to the office. I'm genuinly impressed by how light this was

Too soon to tell...

There is an old, and untrue, story that in 1972 Henry Kissinger asked Zhou Enlai what he thought of the French revolution. Zhou, the story goes, replied it was too soon to tell.

The thing with my roll top is it is still the honeymoon period and I'm still in love with the design, the way the pockets are so unobtrusive, the way it almost folds out completely when you want to get at every corner or put in something delicate, and the fact that it's so light.

As I have learned with my version one Carry On, it can take 6 years to truly appreciate a bag, and in no small part because despite the miles and the memories, it's pretty much indistinguishable from the day I bought it.

So looking forward to years with my Rolltop.

Best EDC backpack!

I am absolutely in love with the Rolltop, a perfect EDC (every day carry). Holds my MacBook Air 13" nicely. It has an innovative design that makes it easy to store and retrieve everything I might need when I'm out and about. Especially love that the zipper handles can be neatly tucked away. The body-hugging, low-profile design makes this a perfect backpack for motorcycle riding. When the world opens up again, this will be my main travel daypack (the secret pockets make it a great travel bag). Minaal hit it out of the park with this one!

Great for everyday use

Why do I love and use these products? They are FUN! Clever and innovative design. Great workmanship and materials. Be sure to watch videos to be sure you are aware of ALL the cool features. Review from time to time since new needs arise depending on travel circumstances AND you will likely be surprised how Minaal’s clever design will probably accommodate those new uses. This bag is my go to for larger items and daily use for meetings. Side pockets for easy access to phone or wallet are well placed. Roll top is a nice way for security and weather protection.

Nailed It

This bag works so well for me and my MacBook 16 inch feels so light on my back with it. Go from the gym to work every day with it and have gotten compliments on the bag.

This is my new favorite bag

I have been rocking the Daily bag for the last two years, through road warrior travel consulting and daily commutes to the office. But there was just one thing I didn't love about it: when it's not packed for a week of travel it can look a bit … flaccid? Not so with the Rolltop! I emptied my Daily bag into the Rolltop the second I received my order and have been loving it. (Don't worry, the Daily Bag will come out the second my travel season starts up.)

The Rolltop design gives the bag a leaner look, whether it's empty or full. And it sits nicely on my back. The center zipper makes access super easy, without rummaging and without spilling contents. It also makes access a lot easier when the bag is upright (like on the floor or in a chair). I like the symmetry of the little pockets on each side, a couple on the outside and a couple tucked away inside. Even though there is only one laptop sleeve, I can still pack a 15" MacBook Pro and a 12.9" iPad Pro in the same sleeve.

Surprisingly, the material is soft in the hand. I like the way it feels better than other bags. It's subtle, but a nice feature. You will also find a couple mysterious carabiner hooks at the top of the bag. The Minaal designers tell me it's there for whatever you want to do with it, but I can't help but think there's something in store for the future. What will you use them for?
